Match Analysis

Asked to bat,  Punjab posted a big total of 219 for five and in response, Rajasthan managed just 209 for seven.

Punjab didn't have a great start to their innings as they lost three quick wickets in Priyansh Arya, Mitchell Owen and Prabhsimran Singh (21:10b, 3x4, 1x6). However, after that, Nehal Wadhera (70:37b, 5x4, 5x6) bailed his team out of trouble with his brilliant half-century.

He was supported well by skipper Shreyas Iyer (30:25b, 5x4) and then later Shashank Singh (59 not out:30b, 5x4, 3x6). Thanks to the brilliant outing by the middle and lower order, Punjab posted a massive total of 219 for five.

Rajasthan was off to a brutal start with the bat as openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (50:25b, 9x4, 1x6) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (40:15b, 4x4, 4x6) were going great guns with the bat. The duo added 76 runs for their opening partnership inside five overs. Skipper Sanju Samson (20:16b, 1x4, 1x6) played a decent hand but couldn't carry on the start that he had.

Rajasthan kept losing wickets at regular intervals despite Dhruv Jurel (53:31b, 3x4, 4x6) playing a brilliant hand at the other end. Rajasthan managed just 209 for seven as they fell short of ten runs.
