TATA IPL 2025 Match 62: Rajasthan end their campaign with a win over Chennai












Rajasthan Royals finally had a win under their belt in their final league game of IPL 2025 as they beat Chennai Super Kings by six wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday. Asked to bat, Chennai posted a total of 187 for eight, which Rajasthan chased with 17 balls to spare.

Match Analysis
Chennai had a poor start to their innings as they lost Devon Conway and Urvil Patel for just 12 runs. But, at the other end, Ayush Mhatre (43:20b, 8x4, 1x6) continued his brutal form and played another brilliant innings for his team. But after his wicket, Chennai came under massive pressure and was left tottering at 78 for five. With the team struggling, Dewald Brevis (42:25b, 2x4, 3x6) and Shivam Dube (39:32b, 2x4, 2x6) brought Chennai back into the game with their 59-run stand. After that MS Dhoni also contributed 16 runs as Chennai posted a total of 187 for eight.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (36:19b, 5x4, 2x6) took Rajasthan off to a flying start. Later Vaibhav Suryavanshi (57:33b, 4x4, 4x6) and skipper Sanju Samson (41:31b, 3x4, 2x6) added 98 runs for the second wicket to take the command of match. Dhruv Jurel (31 not out:12b, 2x4, 3x6) played a cameo down the order as Rajasthan chased the target with six wickets in hand.
